Canadian Red Cross, Salvation Army called to support residents impacted by early morning townhouse fire

Ottawa firefighters responded to a fire at a townhouse in the east end of the city early Saturday morning.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) received multiple 9-1-1 calls at roughly 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25 reporting flames visible from a townhome on Carsons Road near Den Haag Drive.

The fire was declared under control at 3:10 a.m., and firefighters were able to stop the blaze from spreading to other units.

The Canadian Red Cross and the Salvation Army are assisting those affected by the fire.
