Shooting and home invasion under investigation in Brockville, suspects at large

Officers with the Brockville Police Service have launched an investigation after a home invasion and reports of shots fired on Friday, Dec. 1.

In a media release, Brockville police said several 9-1-1 calls were made with people reporting gunshots heard in the area of Pine Street.

Officers began a search for the suspects, who were believed to be in a small white sedan.

While police investigated, they learned that a home invasion had occurred earlier on George Street. The two incidents were later discovered to be connected.

Police are still investigating, and the suspects remain at large. All victims are accounted for and no one was seriously hurt as result of either incident, according to Brockville police.

Police are asking the public to avoid the areas of Pine St. between Bartholomew St. and Bennett St. and George St. between Perth St. and Clarissa St.

“We are also asking for any citizens who have surveillance cameras on King St. E., between the areas of Bennett St. and Court House Ave., to check for any video footage of suspicious activity involving a small white sedan, around 8 p.m. yesterday,” the release said.
