Police make arrest in connection to early morning assault, one man sent to hospital with serious injuries

One man was sent to hospital with serious injuries after an assault in Ottawa’s Mechanicsville area.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) said officers were called to the 100 block of Forward Avenue with reports of an assault just before 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4.

Police found one man suffering from serious injuries at the scene. He was transported to hospital.

The OPS later arrested one man in connection to the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 4:20 am, officers were called to the 100 block of Forward Ave in response to an assault.

On-scene, a male victim was located with serious injuries. He was transported by paramedics to a local hospital.
