Power restored after single-vehicle crash takes out hydro pole south of Smiths Falls

A single-vehicle crash south of Smiths Falls led to a large power outage on Sunday, Dec. 3.

The Leeds County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the crash at Golf Club Road and County Road 29  and reported a hydro pole was down and power in the area was out.

Hydro One crews were dispatched and power was restored by 11:40 p.m.

The driver involved in the collision was transported to hospital with minor injuries and is being investigated for impaired driving.
