Cooper Foster scores in OT to give 67’s win over Generals

By Anil Jhalli

Cooper Foster has done it again.

He just loves scoring big goals against the Oshawa Generals.

Foster’s 11th goal of the 2023-2024 OHL season proved to be the game winner in overtime to give the Ottawa 67’s a victory over the visiting squad from Oshawa in a rare Wednesday evening matchup at TD Place Arena.

It was the second straight game against the Generals where Foster scored the game winning goal when extra time was needed between the two clubs.

The 67’s had a 2-0 lead with just under three minutes gone in the second period, but the visiting team was able to tie things up and force overtime.

Christ Barlas and Will Gerrior scored the 67’s other two goals.

Brady Stonehouse had two assists.

The 67’s host the Peterborough Petes on Friday, Dec. 8.
