Charges laid after threats call in eastern Ontario township

A threats call in an eastern Ontario township has led to multiple charges against a 41-year-old individual.

Members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a threats report in the Township of of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards in Renfrew County on Dec. 7 just before 9:30 a.m.

The 41-year-old, who has not been named to protect the identity of the victim(s), is charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Indecent exposure
  • Sexual interference
  • Uttering threats,
  • Invitation to touching
  • Make sexually explicit material available to a person under 16
  • Sexual assault on a person under 16
  • Three counts of careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and
  • Utter threat to damage or injure and animal

The accused was held in custody and scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Dec. 8, 2023, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke.
