Off-duty OPP constable foils robbery in Hawkesbury

Two people have been charged after a robbery was foiled by an off-duty constable in Hawkesbury.

According to the Hawkesbury detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), it happened while one of its special constables was shopping at a local grocery store.

While shopping, the constable witnessed a theft in progress and called it in.

As a result two people were arrested and charged.

Close to $300 worth of groceries were recovered.
