Three people in custody, two in hospital after ‘major assault’ in Arnprior

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges after an early morning assault in Arnprior.

Renfrew County OPP and Renfrew County EMS were called to what was described as a “major disturbance” on River Road in the town of Arnprior just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9.

Police said two people were injured from a “major assault” and the suspects fled the scene.

Three people have been arrested and charged in connection to the incident.

Jade White, 18, of Arnprior Ramon Jacob Vasquez-Acres, 19, from Renfrew and Matteo Antonucci, 18, also from Renfrew were charged with assault with a weapon (two counts), trespassing at night, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose and aggravated assault (two counts).

Police said there is no risk to public safety and the investigation is ongoing.
