Deck catches fire on Corkery Road, no injuries reported

Ottawa firefighters were on the scene in an area in the capital’s rural west end following reports that a deck was on fire.
Ottawa Fire Service (OFS) said fire crews responded to to the 700 block of Corkery Road just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13 after reports that a deck was on fire, roughly five to 10 feet from a home.
Firefighters confirmed that the deck was attached to the home. All the occupants of the home exited safely.
OFS said the fire was under control at 3:20 p.m. No injuries have been reported.
