The Canadian Football League (CFL) revealed its full schedule for the 2024 season.
The Ottawa Redblacks are set to host the defending West Division champions, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, on June 13, during week two of the 2024 CFL season.
Ottawa opens the 2024 season with a bye.
This will be their first game against the Blue Bombers since the infamous ‘Crumback’ win against Winnipeg during the 2023 season.
The CFL is returning to a format that will see each team play against each other during the regular season, with the Redblacks hosting all of them once, except for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats who will be a repeat visitor. The Tiger-Cats first visit to TD Place in Ottawa will be on June 30 during the annual Canada Day game.
“The schedule release is always an exciting time as it brings into focus what lies ahead for the upcoming season,” said Adrian Sciarra, the Redblacks’ president.
Ottawa’s home schedule during the 2024 season will have three Friday and Saturday games, two Thursday games and a single Sunday matchup.
Their road schedule includes two visits to Montreal to take on current Grey Cup Champions the Alouettes along with single games against the league’s seven other teams.
Ottawa is also scheduled to play a pair of pre-season games. The first against the Tiger-Cats in Hamilton on May 25 and the second sees them host the Alouettes on May 31.
Thee 2024 CFL playoffs will wrap up with the 111th Grey Cup from BC Place on Nov. 17.
