2 injured in Merrickville-Wolford armed robbery

Three people are facing charges in connection with a robbery investigation in Merrickville-Wolford Township.
The Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported robbery at a business on Wellington Street East just before 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec 16.
Officers were told that two people armed with knives approached an employee and customer, before fleeing the area on foot to a nearby vehicle.
The suspects were arrested a short time later on County Road 43 and a large number of stolen prescription medication were seized.
Connor O’Callaghan, 23, and Kristen Fernberg, 20, both of South Dundas and Hayvin Pos, 19, of Merrickville, face the following charges:
- Armed robbery
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
Pos and O’Callaghan face the following additional charges:
- Assault with a weapon (two counts)
- Disguise with intent
- Possession of prohibited weapon
Pos also received a charge of Possession of Schedule I Substance-Cocaine.
Fernberg has been released while the other accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing in Brockville at a later date.
Two people received minor injuries during the robbery and were taken to hospital.
