Ottawa fire helps pull person out of wrecked car after South Gloucester crash

Firefighters extracted a person from their wrecked car after a two-vehicle crash in South Gloucester on Monday.

Ottawa Fire Services (OPS) said they were called to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Mitch Owens and Old Prescott Roads at around 11:11 a.m.

Fire crews confirmed the driver was trapped and quickly stabilized the vehicle before using specialized tools to get into the car.

OPS said the person was safely extracted at 11:22 a.m. and there was nobody else in the vehicle.

No injuries from the accident have been reported.
