Ottawa teen charged in Pembroke double homicide

A teenager from Ottawa is the second person arrested and charged in connection with a double homicide in Pembroke last spring.
Shortly before 3 a.m. on May 22, 2023, officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a residence on Mackay Street, where two people were found with life-threatening injuries.
Both individuals were taken to hospital, where one person was pronounced dead, and another person was found dead in the immediate area.
Investigators believe the victims were targeted.
Post-mortem examinations confirmed that Noah Nathaniel Aannis and Alando Omario Davidson, both 16-years-old, died from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds, while a third 16-year-old suffered serious injuries.
All three were residents of Mississauga and OPP investigators believe they were targeted.
In late May, police arrested Zacharie Robert Lamoureux, 21, of Ottawa, who was charged with the following:
- First-Degree Murder (two counts)
- Attempt to Commit Murder
As a result of the ongoing investigation, a second person, 17, from Ottawa, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan 10, 2024.
The accused faces the following charges:
- First-Degree Murder (two counts)
- Attempt to Commit Murder
The individual, whose identity is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
