Ottawa police identify suspect in road rage case

Police have identified a man who was allegedly involved in a violent road rage incident last summer.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) said two vehicles travelled from Quebec into Ottawa’s downtown core in 2023 when one of the drivers became upset with the other.

Police said he exited his vehicle at a traffic light and smashed the other car’s windshield with an object and threatened the driver.

OPS believes a “driving maneuver” by the victim upset the suspect.

Police did not immediately release his identity to the public and said the investigation is ongoing.
