Kingston’s police force have launched a new website to highlight a series of cold case files they’re hoping to crack.
Their goal with the website is to make sure members of the public are aware of what cold cases exist in their jurisdiction, said police in a news release. They’re also hoping that it will lead to new tips in the investigations.
At the moment, nine cold case files are featured on the site. They involve Valerie Drew, Judith Zicari (also known as Judith Bailey), Eleanor McGeachie, Thomas Gencarelli, Gordon Andrew Cameron, Jeffrey Leveque, Christine Ziomkiewich, Viva Mack and Marion Joyce.
These cases go back as far as 1970, with the latest being 2002. Most of them are victims of homicide.

“Family, friends, citizens and those responsible for these crimes should know that these cases are always being actively investigated,” said police.
“The adage that ‘someone knows something’ holds true and investigators are always eager to receive information about these cases.”
Kingston police said they continue to investigate and follow up with any information that may assist in solving these cases.
Police ask anyone with information on any of the cold case files to call the Major Crime Unit at 613-549-4660 or by email at crimetips@kingstonpolice.ca.
