‘Does this look legal to you?’: OPP reminds drivers to clear off windshields

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reminding you to take the time to clean off your vehicle this winter, before heading out on the road.
Hawkesbury OPP have posted a warning on X to drivers, sharing a photo of a vehicle with the windshield almost entirely covered in ice.
Snow and ice can not only a visual obstruction, it can be a hazard to others on the road.
Last winter, OPP posted a picture of a vehicle with a smashed windshield, after it was struck by ice flying off of another vehicle.
OPP say not clearing off your car properly could also lead to charges under the Highway Traffic Act.
