Do you have what it takes to dive into subzero waters for a good cause?
The Polar Plunge is back on March 1 and this year’s event is being held at TD Place, according to a release.
Participants seek sponsorship for their dip in the ice-cold waters and raise funds to help support programming and events for 23,000 Special Olympic athletes across the province.
Anyone interested can register online before the event.
So far, the Ottawa Polar Plunge 2024 event has raised $8,641 of their $30,000 goal.
All funds raised at the Ottawa plunge will be used in the city.
Anyone can participate, though individuals under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian to sign an event participant waiver, according to the website. Waivers are included in online registration and available in person on the day of the plunge.
Registration is open at 5:30 p.m. on March 1, and plunges start at 6:30 p.m.
Plunges will be broadcast live on TD Place’s video board.
