Ottawa man charged after sexual assault of girl in Vanier

The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Unit have charged a man with sexual assault following a police investigation.

It occurred in the man’s home in Vanier on Wednesday and police say there could be more victims.

Police say a girl (16) was walking in the Vanier area and was approached by a man. This man invited her into his home and once inside, didn’t let her leave and sexually assaulted her.

69-year-old Ronald Cusson was charged with the following:

Sexual assault
Sexual interference
Forcible confinement

Cusson was scheduled to appear in court on Friday.

The SACA warn there could be more victims and encourage anyone with information to call them at 613-236-1222, extension 5944 or emailed to SACA@ottawapolice.ca.
