Child came into contact with a needle at Princess Margriet Park

A child came into contact with a needle at a west end park on Saturday, according to a social media post.

The Civic Hospital Neighbourhood Association (CHFA) wrote on a Facebook post that the child is currently being treated at CHEO.

The CHFA also warns that needles and drug paraphernalia were found on the smaller play structure at the park on Fairmont Avenue.

“We are also hearing of previous sightings of similar items near the dog area in the park,” wrote the CHFA.

“If you see any needles, call 311 and they will come and pickup the needle and it will be logged so that authorities are aware of problem areas.”
