Weapons, drugs and gold seized during police raids in Gatineau; two charged

An investigation into illicit cannabis trafficking in Gatineau has led to multiple charges and a large list of seized items.

Shortly before 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, the Service de police of the City of Gatineau (SPVG) executed several search warrants in the Buckingham sector.

The warrants targeted 124 Impasse des Pruches and a business and a warehouse garage located at 400 Buckingham Avenue, as well as two vehicles, a Ford F150 truck and a Honda Civic car.

Items seized include the following:

  • One electric pulse gun
  • Two compressed air guns
  • Two brass knuckles
  • $3100 in Canadian currency
  • More than 6,700 grams of dried illicit cannabis
  • More than 470 grams of hashish
  • 48 THC vapes
  • 1500 milligrams of THC gummies
  • Around 120 grams of cocaine
  • More than 15 grams of crack
  • More than 200 grams of methamphetamine
  • More than 20 grams of ecstasy
  • 106 prescription drug capsules intended for sale
  • Three cell phones
  • Two scales
  • 17 grams of gold

Two men from Gatineau were arrested and face multiple criminal charges.
