Nepean resident celebrating $250K lottery win

Barbara Crockett of Nepean, won a $250,000 prize with an INSTANT BINGO MULTIPLIER ticket which was a gift from her husband.

A woman from Nepean is a quarter of a million dollars richer thanks to a Bingo ticket.

Barbara Crockett, 70, of Nepean, won a $250,000 prize with an INSTANT BINGO MULTIPLIER ticket which was a gift from her husband.

“This ticket was a Christmas gift from my husband,” said the retiree. “I noticed my win when I scratched my ticket and I started to shake. I was jumping up and down — I was beyond happy!”

Barbara says she plans to share a majority of her win with her children and has no major plans yet.

“I told my children about the win, and they were all so happy for me,” Barbara smiled. “It’s a good feeling. I am beyond grateful.”

The winning ticket was purchased at the CNIB Kiosk in Walmart on Strandherd Drive in Nepean.
