OPP recover stolen vehicle on Highway 401 in South Glengarry

A man from Montreal is facing charges after the recovery of a stolen vehicle on Highway 401 in South Glengarry Township.

Members of the South Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) OPP located the vehicle on the eastbound 401 shortly after 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24.

Further investigation revealed the 2023 Jeep Gladiator was stolen from the Greater Toronto Area and Papa Giuseppe, 51, faces the following charges:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession Break-In Instruments

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall at a later date.
