Police looking for suspect in ByWard Market stabbing

Ottawa Police are asking the public for help finding a suspect in a stabbing that happened last Tuesday in the capital’s downtown core.

OPS says that around 10:40 p.m. on Feb. 20, the suspect and victim were arguing inside of a local business in the 100 block of Rideau street. Police say the suspect first left the store, then waited for and then stabbed the victim.

Police describe the victim’s injuries as serious.

Investigators say the suspect is male, has a light complexion and is in his twenties with a slim build and facial hair. He was wearing a shiny black, blue and white winter jacket, dark pants, and black shoes with white laces and glasses during the attack.
