A police operation at Woodroffe High School has concluded.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) responded to the west-end high school on Monday afternoon after a threatening incident involving a weapon.

While police said they made arrests on Monday, no charges were laid for the incident.

In a statement emailed to CityNews Ottawa, a spokesperson for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) confirmed that Woodroffe High School was in lockdown for one hour on Monday afternoon.

“This safety mode was put in place as a precaution and to support a police investigation,” wrote the spokesperson. “Students and staff were safely secured in their classrooms.”

No injuries were reported and police say they’ve concluded their investigation.
