OPP charges Bancroft man in traffic stop turned drug bust
Provincial police from Bancroft, Ont. say they’ve arrested a man after a routine traffic stop turned into a drug bust last Friday.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say that around 12 a.m. on March 1, they pulled a man over in the town of Bancroft, Ont. for an unspecified reason.
Police say during the stop they discovered meth, fentanyl and psilocybin in the suspect’s possession.

Officers arrested Ryan Hogan, 40, and charged him with:
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl);
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamines);
- Possession of a schedule 3 substance for the purpose of trafficking (psilocybin); and
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon.
Hogan was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on March 26.
