Trapped driver saved by firefighters in Orleans

Firefighters extracted a trapped driver in Orleans Friday afternoon.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) say they were called to a three vehicle collision on Highway 174 east and Trim road.

Emergency crews were on scene of the three vehicle crash, which included a street sweeper. Firefighters say one of the vehicle’s drivers was trapped.

“The front passenger door, rear passenger door and the B Post of the vehicle were all removed by firefighters using specialized tools to allow the trapped occupant to exit the vehicle,” read a post on X by OFS.

Fire crews say they stayed on scene to spread absorbent on leaking fuels and clean up debris.
