Ottawa Police trying to ID Queen Street robber

Police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect involved in an assault and vehicle theft in downtown Ottawa.

Ottawa Police Service (OPS) say that the robbery happened at around 12:20 a.m. on February 20. Police say the suspect entered an underground parking garage in the 300 block of Queen Street, assaulted a person and stole their vehicle.

The vehicle was found shortly afterwards.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, in his early 50’s, six feet tall, bald and with a goatee. They say that at the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a dark jacket, dark shirt and dark pants.

Investigators ask that anyone with information on the suspect’s identity, or information about this incident, to call the OPS Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
