Two Ottawa teens among three charged after Clarence-Rockland drug bust

Two teens from Ottawa are among three people charged in connection with a drug bust in Clarence-Rockland.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) arrested two people in Ottawa on March 12, with help from the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit (PWEU), the Tactical Response Unit (TRU), the Canine Unit and Russell County OPP officers.
Then, on March 13, a third person was arrested in Clarence-Rockland and a search warrant was executed.
Officers seized the following items during the bust:
- 78 Oxycodone pills
- Two Dilaudid pills
- 1.3 ounces of crack
- 0.7 ounces of cocaine
- $1450 in Canadian currency
- Six cell phones
- Scales
- One knife
- Break in tools
- Two balaclavas
- Gloves
As a result, a 24-year-old from Clarence-Rockland faces the following charges:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Opioid CDSA 4(1) (two counts)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine CDSA 4(1)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada CC 354(1)(a)
- Possession Break In Instruments CC 351(1)
An 18-year-old from Ottawa faces the following charges:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine CDSA 4(1) (two counts)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Opioid CDSA 4(1)
- Traffick in a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine CDSA 5(1) (two counts)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine CDSA 5(2) (two counts)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid CDSA 5(2)
A 17-year-old from Ottawa faces the following charges:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine CDSA 4(1) (two counts)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Opioid CDSA 4(1)
- Traffick in a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine CDSA 5(1) (two counts)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine CDSA 5(2) (two counts)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada CC 354(1)(a)
The accused are due in court in L’Orignal at a later date.
