Warm weekend on tap for Ottawa before cooler temperatures return

It’s going to be a warm weekend across the National Capital Region before more seasonal temperatures return next week.
According to Environment Canada, the forecast high for Friday, March 15 is 10 C, compared to average of 2 C for this time of year.
The warm trend continues into the weekend with the weather agency calling for a high of 7 C for Saturday and 6 C for Sunday.
It’s also looking to be a wet weekend with a 30 per cent chance of showers for the late afternoon Saturday and showers expected for the evening and into the overnight.
There is also a 60 per cent chance of showers forecast throughout the day Sunday and a chance of flurries and rain showers for the evening.
Then, cooler temperatures arrive.
The forecast high for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday is 1 C, with overnight lows between -8 and -11 C.
