It’s a very wintery first full day of spring for the nation’s capital.

A winter weather travel advisory is in effect from Environment Canada for a brief period of heavy snowfall.

The weather agency is calling for quick accumulations near 2 to 4 cm throughout the day and very poor visibility due to blowing snow.

The blustery conditions are expected to move out of the region early this evening.

You urged to adjust your driving with changing road conditions and continue to monitor alerts and forecasts.
