Ottawa Police looking to ID suspect accused of stealing gas

Police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect they say is involved in a series of gas pump thefts throughout Ottawa.

Ottawa Police Service (OPS) says between June 2023 and February 2024, a male suspect pulls into the gas station, fills the tank with gas and flees without paying.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, between 170 to 200 lbs., 30-50 years old, with a medium build and short hair. They describe his vehicle as a white 2015 Nissan Murano with Quebec licence plate 998 LPC the last time it was seen.

OPS ask anyone with information on his identity, or information about these incidents, to call the Alternative Response Section at 613-236-1222, ext. 5300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
