OPP arrest and charge eastern Ontario woman with 24 counts of fraud and theft

Police say they’ve arrested a woman for several fraud and theft related incidents in Madawaska Valley, Ont. that date back to November 2022.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the investigation led to the arrest of Amanda Foy, 43, of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township.
Police say that Foy has been charged with 11 counts of theft over $5,000, three counts of theft under $5,000, nine counts of fraud under $5,000, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, laundering proceeds of crime and forgery.
Foy has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 1, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
