It’s another very wintry day across the National Capital Region.
A snowfall warning remains in effect from Environment Canada as snow that began Wednesday, April 3 is forecast to continue through Thursday, April 4.
The snow is expected to taper off Thursday evening with up to 20 cm set to fall.
As of Tuesday, 9.8 cm of snow fell at Ottawa’s airport.
With temperatures very close to the freezing mark, the weather agency says the snow is very heavy and wet in nature.
The blustery weather has prompted some power outages across eastern Ontario and Quebec.
As of 10:30 a.m., more than 1,300 Hydro Ottawa customers, more than 22,000 Hydro-Quebec customers, and more than 20,000 Hydro One customers were without power.
