Ottawa police investigating Manor Park homicide, name victim

The Ottawa Police Service says its Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting death of Kevin Willington, 53, that happened on Friday.
Police say emergency crews were called to the scene at 9:22 p.m. in the area of Birch Avenue and Hemlock Road. The man was found with life-threatening injuries and died shortly afterwards.
On Monday, officials released Willington’s name to the public after the next of kin had been notified.
No arrests have been made at this time though police believe there isn’t a risk to public safety.
