OPP lay charges in Perth pellet gun shooting

One man has been charged in connection with a pellet gun shooting in downtown Perth.

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a parking lot on Gore Street around 8 p.m. on Apr. 24.

Two men had been shot, suffering minor injuries, and the culprit fled the scene.

On Thursday, Lanark OPP officers, along with the Lanark OPP crime Unit and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) executed a warrant at an apartment on Gore Street.

Joshua Bernicky, 33, of Perth, was arrested without incident and faces the following charges:

The accused remains in custody following a bail hearing and is due in court again in Perth on Monday, May 6.

The investigation is continuing.
