Driver caught going 170 km/h in company truck on Hwy. 417

A driver will have “some explaining to do” according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

On Tuesday, May 14, police charged and impounded a person for stunt driving on Highway 417 near Moodie Drive.

The driver was going 170 km/h.

According to a post on X, the vehicle was a company truck.

“This driver will have some explaining to do when his boss finds out the company truck was impounded for #StuntDriving,” the post reads.

The driver received a 30-day roadside suspension, a 14-day vehicle impoundment and a court date, police said.
