G2 driver charged with stunt driving on Hwy. 417

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Ottawa have stopped and charged a G2 driver with stunt driving on Friday.

The driver was recorded speeding at 154 km/h on Highway 417.

OPP issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension and impounded the vehicle for 14 days.

The driver could receive a $2,000 fine along with 6 demerit points.

Just three weeks ago, OPP stopped another G2 driver for driving 61 km/h over the limit, also on Highway 417.

That driver was charged with stunt racing and received a 30-day licence suspension.
