Ottawa police seek public assistance identifying Centretown robbery suspect

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for your help identifying the suspect in a robbery in Centretown late last month.

Around 2 a.m. on April 27, a male suspect approached a female victim near the intersection of Gloucester and Percy Streets, grabbed her and stole her cell phone.

Police say the suspect then fled the area on foot and the victim was uninjured in the altercation.

The suspect is described as:

  • Black male
  • 5’5” (165 cm)
  • 150 lbs. (68 kg)
  • Thin build
  • Short hair with twists

At the time of the incident, the suspect was seen wearing a black and grey camouflage Adidas zip up jacket, black jeans and black denim pants.
