House fire in Pembroke deemed suspicious; OPP looking for dark-coloured sedan

A house fire in Pembroke has been deemed suspicious.

Emergency services were called to a home on Everett Street around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, May 19.

The Pembroke Fire Department responded and knocked down the fire which caused minor damage to the home.

The occupants of the home escaped without injury.

As the fire is now considered suspicious, members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit are assisting with the ongoing investigation.

Police are seeking to identify a small dark-coloured sedan/SUV that was observed in the area between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. the morning of the fire.
