Ottawa man charged with sexual assault; investigators believe there are more victims

A man from Ottawa is facing charges in connection with a sexual assault investigation and police believe there could be more victims in this case.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Unit say the investigation began after an alleged incident in February 2023.

Danny Nahimana Rumuri, 40, has now been arrested and faces the following charges:

  • Sexual assault (two counts)
  • Harassment by threatening conduct to other person

Rumuri is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday, May 25.

Investigators believe there may be other incidents involving Rumari and are seeking further victims.
