Police lay child pornography charges after receiving tip

The Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) laid charges against a woman for child pornography.

Police received an anonymous tip on May 23 that resulted in a 39-year-old woman being charged the following day. Officials say she is charged with making child pornography, agreeing or arranging a sexual offence against a child.

The name of the woman will not be released to not to identify the victim, police told CityNews Ottawa.

She is scheduled to appear in court May 24.
