Cyclist dead in crash involving transport truck near Pembroke

Provincial police are seeking information into a fatal collision involving a cyclist and a transport truck near Pembroke over the weekend.

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the collision which happened just before 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 25 on Greenwood Road in Laurentian Valley Township.

The cyclist has been identified as a 53-year-old man but no name has been released at this time.

The investigation continues and a the OPP says a collision reconstructionist and technical collision investigation team responded to the scene.

Anyone with information, including dashcam footage that could assist with this investigation, is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E240660809.
