Three Ottawa residents among four charged in Pembroke firearm investigation

Four people are facing drug and weapons charges after a traffic stop in Pembroke.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began investigating reports of a firearm in a vehicle on Highway 17 on the afternoon of Thursday, May 23.

A short time later, with the assistance of patrol officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the OPP and the Canine Unit, officers conducted a traffic stop on Paul Martin Drive near Woodcrest Drive.

Police seized loaded firearms, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and a quantity of suspected cocaine.

As a result of the investigation, Zayvion Noble, 20, of Pierrefonds, QC, Dayquon Zulu, 19, of Ottawa, David Pepin, 18, of Ottawa, and Aunyx Proulx, 19, of Ottawa face the following charges:

All four accused individuals were held for bail hearings.
