Ottawa police, border services joint investigation ends in charges laid

A man is charged with possession of child pornography, after a joint investigation by the Ottawa Police and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

A 53-year-old man from Ottawa was charged with importation of child pornography x2 and unlawfully possessing child pornography x2.

On May 23, police received information from the CBSA about an Ottawa man making attempts to procure items and materials that meet the definition of child pornography.

Earlier this week, the man was arrested with the help of CBSA and multiple police departments, the press release from officials reads.

He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
