One dead in Russell Township collision involving car and SUV

One person is dead after a collision in Russell Township.

The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to Route 200 at St-Pierre Road shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday, June 14, for a crash between a black SUV and a white car.

Prescott-Russell Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Russell Township Fire Services and the OPP’s Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team also responded to the scene.

Shortly after emergency services arrived, one of the driver’s was pronounced deceased. The second driver and passengers from both vehicles were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone who witnessed the crash or who has relevant dashcam video is asked to contact Russell County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident number E240760627.
