Truck carrying logs loses tire, continued to drive: OPP

The Ottawa detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped, fined and charged a driver after finding out they were driving without a tire.
According to a post on X, police received reports of a large logger truck that lost a tire and continued driving on Highway 417, before being pulled over on Highway 7 by Hazeldean Road.
Just before 5 a.m., officers found the driver was improperly licensed to be driving a commercial moto vehicle. The driver also received over $1,000 in fines and multiple charges.
The driver was charged with:
- Drive Commerical motor vehicle – improperly licenced
- Fail to maintain daily log
- Fail to surrender completed daily inspection report
- Drive commercial motor vehicle – no valid CVOR certificate
