Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Hwy. 417 race: Ottawa OPP

The Ottawa detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police said a motorcycle rider suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a collision on Highway 417 just after midnight on Saturday.

Police said the motorcycle and a vehicle were racing prior to the motorcycle running into a separate vehicle.

Officers said that charges are still pending but the motorcyclist was stopped yesterday for driving on the shoulder without a license.

No other injuries were reported.
