Canada-wide warrant issued for homicide suspect in Westboro shooting

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Homicide Unit has released an image and description of a suspect involved in a fatal shooting in Westboro.
OPS says that the shooting happened July 5 at around 6:09 p.m. near Carling and Kirkwood Avenues.
Upon police’s arrival, a male victim was found with life-threatening injuries. He died in hospital due to shooting injuries.
Police have identified the victim as 28-year-old Adam Abdullahi Elmi.
Ottawa police have obtained a Canada-wide warrant for a 23-year-old male from Ottawa.
Kennedid Atteyeh is wanted for accessory after the fact to murder. Police describe him as the following:
- Black
- 6’4″ in height
- Dark eyes
- Short dark hair
Police have reason to believe he has left the country.
