Officials plan on reopening Line 1 of the O-Train by 3 p.m. after a “concern” with the tunnel of St. Laurent Station.
Ongoing work by the Ontario Structure Inspection Manual found some broken pieces of concrete on the tracks of the light rail transit system (LRT) in the tunnel, a memo dated Oct. 29 notes.
This required minor chipping to remove loose concrete. The work was completed and the contractor is clearing the area.
Once this is done, the Infrastructure and Water Services Department (IWSD) will confirm if trains can resume between Tunney’s Pasture and Blair Stations. The goal, the memo notes, is to have this done by about 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
“This detailed inspection of the tunnel structure is continuing and may require additional remedial works,” the memo reads.
Further details of the inspection will be provided in an update at the next Transit Commission meeting.
Impacts to Line 1 for maintenance:

- Sat. Nov 2 and Sun Nov. 3 between Blair and Tunney’s Pasture
