Woman charged with second-degree murder after stabbing

Police laid a second-degree murder charge to a woman after a stabbing in the Overbrook community earlier this week.

Officials said that a fatal stabbing happened on Feb. 19 at 4:45 a.m. in the 200 block of Presland Road.

Police identified the victim as Robert Vides, 36, of Ottawa.

Officers charged Judith Brennan, 45, of Ottawa with second-degree murder. Police confirmed with CityNews the two are known to each other.

Brennan is scheduled to appear in court today.
